*PCMs that finished from an institution within NIGERIA, Local trained PCMs are not uploading any document but go with the following*

1 white background passport

Know the name of your primary, secondary and tertiary institution

Know the year you started and finished your primary, secondary and tertiary institution

Take up to N5000 to the registration centre, you will pay 3000 to NYSC and pay for cafe/business Centre charges for the registration and it ranges from 1000 to 2000 depending on your area. Also make photocopies of your documents. It’s expensive in camp

Have an email preferably GMAIL. If you don’t have, you can open it during online registration. Just tell the cafe man.

Know your Genotype and blood group, you will fill those during online registration

Biro and Pen, write your username and password to avoid incorrect details and confusion.

How to Correct Date of Birth

According to NYSC, henceforth, information from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is now being used to effect changes on the NYSC portal�The new procedure is as follows:

Login to your dashboard and click on the link to Date of Birth

Enter WAEC Verification PIN, select WAEC Type, Year of exam and enter your Examination Number

Click on Verify button

Click SUBMIT or CANCEL

How to Correct Course of Study

The Following are the Procedures for Correction Of Course Of Study On The�NYSC Platform.

Login to your dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;

Select Course of Study; and

Click SUBMIT

*How to Change Wrong Passports*

According to NYSC, PCMs who have mistakenly uploaded wrong passport photographs during Online Registration are to send their Call-up Numbers and Names to NYSC official Facebook message box,�www.facebook.com/officialnysc, also scan a written application for dropping of passport photograph and send to info@nysc.gov.ng, so that it can be dropped, and you will be enabled to re-upload.

PCMs with *wrong thumb print* and “passport photographs* can also contact NYSC States Secretariat before the commencement of the Orientation Exercise.

How to Correct Names

You are to login to your dashboard and request for correction of spelling mistakes and rearrangement of your names.

However, those who need addition or removal of names will have to go back to their institutions of graduation, who will in turn formally communicate such request to the NYSC.

Note that Addition or Removal of names will not be attended to until your Institution follow the laydown procedure.

This is necessary to ensure that your Certificate of��National Service does not bear a wrongly spelled name.

How to Correct Sex or State of Origin

According to NYSC, you can lodge a complaint or apply for correction at the ICT unit when you get to the NYSC orientation camp.

*VARIOUS CAMP ACTIVITIES*

There will be camp nights around second week in camp or there about after your swearing in ceremony.

It will have lots of activities and sensitization to the corps members. It starts around 8pm and ends 10pm if I still remember the times correctly

*Activities Includes*

Movie night ( It’s time to hang out with your camp gf/bf cause it’s gonna be a cold night depends state of deployment so always have your jacket/sweater at hand and if you get money buy enough suya to enjoy the night as activities are going on)

Inter platoon competition like

*Cultural Dance* group of people come to dance in different ways and cultures of Nigeria. A win goes to the platoon.

*Choral singing* ( Here group of people come together to represent their platoon… Am glad during my time I brought vibes to our own and my platoon won… Infact that was the first award my platoon won and it felt so good that I participated. What am saying is if you know what you are good at pls don’t hide it on camp let it out and you will be glad you did)

*Comedy:*
Here each platoon is represented by a corps member. The winner is celebrated by his platoon members. A win is a win for the platoon

*Big bold and beautiful:*

Being big (I don’t want to say fat) has its own advantage. Here the biggest beautiful lady on camp gets to win this prestigious competition, she becomes a celeb on camp.

*Miss hot leg*
That your sweet straight leg will not be in vain on camp.. The lady with the perfect legs will emerge winner… Each platoon has to search for who will represent them and a Win for the contestant is a win for the platoon..

*Catch the flight*
Here male corps members represent their platoon and the fastest to wear his 7 over 7 (I have explain what 7 over 7 is, your full Nysc kit from your headrest  to your jungle boot ) becomes the winners. My guy won for his platoon during my time when I asked him how he was able to kit up so fast b4 others, he said that when you get to tying your shoe lace don’t put the lace in all the holes jump some holes but make sure you are properly kitted to be declared winner. For those that wish to represent their platoon.

*Mr Macho*(my favorite) towards the second week after swearing in from PCM to CM various camp activities will beging though some will start earlier. Those that wish to represent their platoon for Mr Macho will beginTraining. This is a wonderful opportunity for those like us that never love parade/Matching, to escape parade ground and join the macho men at the gym. This where you see the big boys and you get to network with men and make friends with other platoon guys.

In deciding the winner for Mr Macho many factors will be considered like your triceps, packs, build Your entrance swag. (Some will tear their shirt like Hulk Hogan, some will do press up with 1 hand as show off with cheers and claps from platoon members) giving correct answers to any questions asked etc.

Macho is like Miss NYSC for men. The winner of Mr Macho and Miss Nysc for this stream will appear on the handbook of next stream.

*Miss NYSC* it’s probably one of the last activity on camp and the most important of all… The most beautiful lady on camp that is intelligent and able to get his or her answers correctly and scores above others gets to win this with some good prize attached also.

*Other activities include*

*Football* for men and *volley ball* for ladies.

Here every platoon is represented and a win goes to the platoon

The best football platoon will play against camp commandant team. (I remember when the wanted to score my camp commander team then he rushed his unloaded gun and pointed it to the guy to take the shot and see what happens.

NB: When we say camp is fun…. It’s during this camp night activities that you will understand how fun it is.. you will see passion, joy, laughter noise and the celebration when your platoon is declared winner. You will loose your cool and at a point you will start wondering if you are really the person doing all this cause you haven’t done things like this b4 ( Maybe is bcos it’s done at Night)

Foot ball and volley ball are done in the day time.

*Other activities aside inter platoon competition*

During camp Night we have normal performances from corps member from

*Music performance*

If you are a musician do take your Song to camp and perform it on stage, pls make sure is a nice one so they don’t boo you.

*Rap battle*(rap attack) here the rappers shows their skills to the fun and enjoyment of all corps members. The best rapper wins

*These camp activities does not guarantee being posted to the cities though I think Miss Nysc, Mr Macho does*

But the good thing is winning them makes you known in camp and possibly gets you an opportunity to row with some top military people who in turn are likely going to assist you in getting nice postings. ( My thought because most of the winners then served in capital with me)

*NB: At the end of camp after carnival the best platoon. Becomes the overall best, this will be based on number of different activities they won on camp*

I might not be able to recall if this is all but I believe I have said the most if not all. So if there is any one you are good at so start getting ready. Don’t be a bench warmer.

*NB most of this activities in camp, the questions are written on papers and representative of the platoons are asked based on what they picked. What ever questions you will be asked is in your NYSC handbook which will be given to all PCM.
