A new university in Nigeria is licensed by NUC and does not need to take JAMB entrance exam

The Iconic Open University is a private university and the first of its kind in northern Nigeria. The University is currently accepting scholarship applications for the semester commencing September 2023.

Iconic University, after obtaining approval from the Nigerian Universities Supervisory Commission (NUC) and its own programs, has approved the university to award scholarships without writing or receiving JAMB exam results. But upon awarding the scholarship, Iconic University will require the student/student to register with JAMB to obtain a number that can go to National Service (NYSC) upon completion of studies.

The Iconic Open University, a Sokoto-based university with study centers in parts of Nigeria, utilizes modern technology to offer degree programs in a home-study system in any city or country where students are located.

Students interested in taking first level study opportunities must have a WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS Secondary School Certificate and at DE level they will have a ND, HND or NCE certificate, as per the law.
