The NYSC registration Stages in the camp and the guidelines for Batch C Stream A 2023.

*Below are the registration Stages in the camp and the guidelines:*

Stage 1
At the gate: You present your self-reporting slip that you are asked to printout on your dashboard. Take it closer because that is the first thing before you can be allows entrance into the camp, the NCDC will demand this before the camp security men would demand you show them your “Call-up Letter”; when you show them, they will search your luggage and, depending on the method adopted by your camp management, give you a tag number.

Stage 2
Bed Space/Hostel: From the entrance gate, proceed to the second registration point where you would be allocated a hostel and bed space. At this stage, they would collect the tag number, that is, if any was given to you by the gate security men, and ask you to write your name; after which a bed space would be allocated to you.
After taking out the camp required documents, locate your bed space and drop your luggage(at owners risk) and proceed to the next stage

Stage 3
Verification: At this stage you would be required to provide the original of the following documents (Of course you must have made about six photo copies for each of): Call-up leter, Statement of result, Green card, School I.D card and the Medical certificate of fitness. After verification and confirmation, then proceed to

Stage 4
Biometric Registration: At this stage, they will take your thumb print; if match with the one you did at cyber café. They will cross check your information; if everything matched, then they will determine the platoon you belong. And you will be given, “Camp Corps Member Registration Slip” and Temporary I.D, Certificate format, Performance report form, and Bio-data form.
Locate the photo copy centre and make two photocopies of the slip, and keep the slip for further use.
Check the last digit number in your state code. It ranges from, 0 to 9.
0 is platoon 10;
1 is platoon 1;
2 is platoon 2;
3 is platoon 3
.
.
.
9 is platoon 9.

Stage 5
Platoon: All platoon will be directed to gather at different locations.

Your platoon officer will be there to receive you.
Locate your platoon with the camp corps member registration slip, Green Card, Call up letter, statement of result, to get your file, Meal ticket, and NYSC Kits.

Stage 6
Bank acct opening: At this stage all PCMs would be required to open a new bank account…

Stage 7
First parade:
“Pam…papa pam…; pam papa pam…; pi…po…pi…po…pam…papa paaaaaah” when you hear this sound from military trumpet, usually by 4:00am, those who have completed their registration and are kitted in white camp kits must head to the parade ground for the very first parade.

Then you can see the timetable, get use to the environment and boring lectures.

For example, NYSC may post someone to Rivers State and ask the same person to camp in Akwa Ibom State Orientation camp, this is because of Covid 19 protocol of not overcrowding a particular camp. So, pay attention to the State you’re posted to, and address of the Orientation camp.

*NOTE: Medical fitness certificate is a must take to Camp. Most Camps Rejects Medical Certificate with Scanned Signatures, don’t let Medical Report get you into trouble in Camp*

Steps To Correct Mistakes Made During NYSC Online Registration

Follow the steps below to correct your errors:-

How to Correct Date of Birth

According to NYSC, henceforth, information from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is now being used to effect changes on the NYSC portal�The new procedure is as follows:

Login to your dashboard and click on the link to Date of Birth

Enter WAEC Verification PIN, select WAEC Type, Year of exam and enter your Examination Number

Click on Verify button

Click SUBMIT or CANCEL

How to Correct Course of Study

The Following are the Procedures for Correction Of Course Of Study On The�NYSC Platform.

Login to your dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;

Select Course of Study; and

Click SUBMIT

*How to Change Wrong Passports*

According to NYSC, PCMs who have mistakenly uploaded wrong passport photographs during Online Registration are to send their Call-up Numbers and Names to NYSC official Facebook message box,�www.facebook.com/officialnysc, also scan a written application for dropping of passport photograph and send to info@nysc.gov.ng, so that it can be dropped, and you will be enabled to re-upload.

PCMs with *wrong thumb print* and “passport photographs* can also contact NYSC States Secretariat before the commencement of the Orientation Exercise.

How to Correct Names

You are to login to your dashboard and request for correction of spelling mistakes and rearrangement of your names.

However, those who need addition or removal of names will have to go back to their institutions of graduation, who will in turn formally communicate such request to the NYSC.

Note that Addition or Removal of names will not be attended to until your Institution follow the laydown procedure.

This is necessary to ensure that your Certificate of��National Service does not bear a wrongly spelled name.

How to Correct Sex or State of Origin

According to NYSC, you can lodge a complaint or apply for correction at the ICT unit when you get to the NYSC orientation camp.

NYSCPROCEDURE FOR NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP REGISTRATION DETAIL*

The national youth service corps (NYSC) is a one year compulsory programme for all graduate of higher institution under the age of 30 from Nigeria. It is built on four cardinal points before the award of the discharge certificate. The first of the cardinal point is the NYSC orientation camp.

*REPORT TO CAMP*
After getting all the necessary checklist items, you are good to go. It is good to arrive camp a day before if you can. There are some advantage to it. It reduces the stress of joining queue for almost anything you want to do. It also makes it easy for camp official to attend to you as there are few corp members to attend to. Camp officials are generally nice.

*ARRIVING AT CAMP*
At the gate, a security operative will check your luggage in case you want to bring in prohibited items. You will be ask if you have any. Saying no puts you under the law when you are later found wanting. Another security operative will check your call up letter and your state NYSC orientation camp. If you are not supposed to be in that particular camp or you are using an old call up letter, you will be sent back.

*ACCOMMODATION*
Some orientation camp give all PCM a code at the gate. Take it along with your bag and luggages to the accommodation stand. Write down your name and call up number in a book after providing your code given to you at the gate. The same information is entered into a form.
The form is also filled by other prospective corp members (PCM). You will have to wait for the names to be up to a particular number. The number of bed space per room is what is needed for that list to be full. If a room have 30 bed space, the list will be attended to when the names on it are up to 30.

*PLANTOON REGISTRATION*
Locate your platoon inspector. They will most likely be under the camp tent. Look for a comfortable place to fill your details in the personal data form. Also, fill your details in the personal data file. Get them perforated in the following format;
1. NYSC call up letter
2. NYSC green card
3. Personal data form
4. Undertaking
5. A copy of Statement of result
6. Original of medical certificate ( *contact admin)*
Write down your state code at the top of each of the documents should in case anyone gets missing, it can easily be tracked.

If they approve your file, you will be given a meal ticket and directed to go to the platoon stand to get your NYSC complete kits. To collect your kit, you must write down your name, your state code and signature. The complete kit will be given to you. The kit include:

1. Two white short
2. Two white T shirt
3. A pair of crested white table tennis shoe
4. A pair of NYSC socks
5. A pair of white socks
6. A crested NYSC cap
7. A crested vest
8. A khaki shirt
9. NYSC belt
10. A khaki trouser
11. A pair of jungle boot

*BANK REGISTRATION*
NYSC require all corp members to open a new bank account. Bank customer service will come to orientation camp to open new account for all members. The number of banks that will come is determined by the camp officials. Corp members with certain state code range are assigned to one bank. This is usually in serial number like from 5000 to 6000 will use one bank. It does not matter if you already have an account with them.
