Governor Babagana Zulum has ordered security forces to eliminate a group known as “Marlian” who are believed to be harassing people in parts of the city’s Maiduguri and Jare.

“I have convened this emergency meeting of the Security Council to address the security concerns arising in the city of Maiduguri and parts of the Jere local government with the aim of proposing some measures that can be implemented to ensure peace and stability.
