Employment scam: Man jailed for six months by court for defrauding $1.6m
Kano State High Court Judge Suleiman Baba Na-Malam sentenced Salihu Zakari to one count of forgery on Thursday, July 13, 2023 months in prison.
The criminal was arraigned along with Addo Moussa for allegedly conniving and defrauding innocent victims under the guise of Kano State High School Board employment.

Zachary pleaded guilty to the charges.
In light of his guilty plea, prosecution lawyer Aisha Tahar Habib asked the court to convict him accordingly. Meanwhile, Habib called for the trial of Addo Musa, who pleaded “not guilty”.
Judge Namaram therefore sentenced Zachary to six months’ imprisonment with an option to fine N100,000 (one hundred thousand naira).
In Musa’s case, the court remanded him to Kano Correctional Facility until his trial begins on October 4, 2023
