Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radha complained that security issues continued to plague the lives of thousands of people in Katsina State, saying there were daily killings in the state reports. one question.

The governor stated this during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.

The governor said security issues have hit the state so hard that bandits attack villages in the state on a daily basis, killing people or kidnapping for ransom.

According to him, “I wake up every day to the news that someone has been killed in my state. I’m afraid to turn on my phone because I know that’s what I’m going to receive.”

The governor said that’s why he gathered experts and sat down to develop a plan to create a state patrol to help keep his region safe.

Katsina State is one of the states facing security issues in the North-West region with an increase in bandit attacks resulting in casualties, stolen animals and people being kidnapped to the forests for ransom.

Tinubu appoints head of new media agency

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the new appointments of heads of eight agencies under the Ministry of Information and Communications.

This was contained in a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson Mr Ajuri Nglale on Thursday.

The announcement stated that Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu has been appointed as Chairman of the National Outreach Agency (NOA); Alhaji Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos as Chairman of Nigeria Television (NTA) and Dr. Muhammad Bulama as Director General of the Federal Broadcasting Commission of Nigeria (FRCN).

The National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has appointed Mr. Charles Ebuebu as Chairman and Alhaji Jibrin Baba Ndace as Chairman of Voice of Nigeria (VON).

Additionally, Dr. Lekan Fadolapo was appointed Chairman of the Advertising Regulatory Commission of Nigeria (ARCON), Mr. Ali M. Ali was appointed Chairman of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and the then Chairman of the National News Agency (NPC). Dili Ezughah was appointed Chairman.

President Tinubu admonished these new leaders to come up with new technologies and opportunities that Nigerians will benefit from in order to leverage changes in institutions to strengthen the unity of the country.

He said that in this way, they would contribute immensely to the glory of Nigeria to enable it to compete with major countries in the world.

Their appointments are effective immediately, the statement said.
