A Magistrate Court III in Katsina State has appointed young individuals to take charge of the leadership of Batagarawa Local Government. Alhaji Bala Garba Tsanni has been selected as the interim head of Batagarawa Local Government following the recent legal proceedings.

As reported by Katsina Reporters, the Sharia Magistrate, Abdulkarim A. Umar, appointed the youths during a session held on Monday, October 23, 2023.

The appointment of Alhaji Bala Garba Tsanni and eleven others took place earlier this year on Thursday, August 3. They were selected following legal actions related to the removal of the former Magaji Dabaibayawa, Alhaji Dikko Ahmad.

In total, twelve individuals, including the Interim Head of Batagarawa Local Government, Alhaji Bala Garba Tsanni, were chosen to represent the interests of the community. This appointment includes duties related to administration, security, governance, and the position of Magaji Dabaibayawa.

This development is in accordance with Sections 59, 249, and 189 of the Katsina State Sharia Legal Code, as explained by Sharia Magistrate Abdulkarim A. Umar.

According to Katsina Reporters, all twelve individuals were selected after a careful vetting process conducted at the Magistrate Court, ensuring that they meet the legal requirements for these important positions.

The Magistrate Court has appointed young individuals to serve as interim leaders in Batagarawa Local Government, ensuring the governance of the area until a formal election is conducted on November 27, 2023. This marks a significant development in the local government’s administration.
