This policy serves as a support system for the families of their members who have sadly passed away.

In a recent case, the university community mourned the loss of Ibrahim Shehu, a dedicated gardener who had been attached to the former Council Chairman of the university, Mal Sule Yahaya Hamma. In line with their policy, NASU extended its heartfelt support to Ibrahim’s grieving family.

The support package provided essential food items, reflecting their commitment to assisting the bereaved family during their time of need. This thoughtful gesture included items such as Ishma Vegetable Oil, Gerawa Rice (50kg), Macaroni, Power Pasta Slim Spaghetti, two gallons of Palm Oil, Amino Moto seasoning packs, Dangote refined iodized salt, PXS Eco Family Vaseline, Maggi Star seasoning (20 sachets), Move Beauty Soap, Onga Spices (5 sachets), sugar (1 Mudu), Viva Brown Soap, and Viva Plus Detergent Powder. In addition to these provisions, a token amount of money was also offered to assist the family with any immediate financial requirements.

The compassion and support didn’t stop at material aid. The Chairman of the Committee, Mal Abdulkadir Umar Tahir, led a delegation to the family’s home. There, they offered their condolences, prayed for the departed soul, and sought Allah’s forgiveness. Their prayers also extended to seeking blessings for Ibrahim Shehu’s children, recognizing the importance of ensuring the welfare and future well-being of his family.
