Former Governor of Kano State and leader of the NNPP, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is set to introduce a Quranic education program for Almajiris, which is a significant and commendable initiative.

Kwankwaso’s endeavor is to establish a Quranic education program for Almajiri children, which he has named the “Kwankwasiyya Development Foundation.”

The goal of this program is to provide Quranic education to Almajiri children aged 15 to 21 who have completed their primary and secondary school education. Kwankwaso’s vision is not only to equip them with a solid Quranic education but also to facilitate their entry into higher education institutions within and outside the country.

Today, Kwankwaso is set to launch the foundation, aiming to revamp and improve Quranic education and empower the Almajiri children. The foundation’s objective is to offer these children an opportunity to acquire a well-rounded education, combining both Islamic studies and modern education.

Starting on Monday, a special team will begin the selection of Almajiri children to participate in this program, which will run for 90 days at his residence on Miller Road in Kano State.
