To God be all Glory , I consider commencement of a worthwhile project to advance the course of my immediate community.
I consider it an honour and privilege to be President of the Alumni Association of Federal University DutsinMa , as the Alumni Association is very special to me, having been the second SUG PRESIDENT of our great citadel during my days as an Undergraduate.
The main objectives of the Association are to promote close relations between the University and its Alumni(Former Students ( B.Sc , M.Sc , P.hd , Certificate , Diploma ) ,To promote the interest of the Alumni in the affairs of the University, ensure that programs are initiated and developed for the benefit of the Alumni and the University, and to assist the University in its development and pursuit of academic excellence.
As a committed FUDMITES With interest towards advancing the course of the University, our focus on the Advancement of the University is un-negotiable , Thus all hands are on desk to ensure the FUDMA of our dream is been achieved.
As you may know, the Association was “formally” established and registered under the Legal
& industrial unit of the University and captured as a unit of the Directorate of Advancement and Linkages. I am proud to say that the Association has had, as members, many distinguished Alumni who have made significant contributions both nationally and internationally in ensuring the association stands the test of time.
In the coming years, the Association will be carrying out several projects focusing on the welfare of Alumni members , not only to support them throughout their but also to develop the personality and the skills necessary to keep pace in the competitive job market they would face in the future. The Association under my stewardship will organize several programmes to create opportunities for our Alumni members to interact with one another and the academia of the University in other to entrench permanent relationship with the management, staff of the University.

Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi saw the need for the formalization of an Alumni body thus gave all necessary support to ensure the Body is been recognised by the University as in other leading Universities in the world.
While among the motives of the body is to bring together the Alumni of Federal University Dutsin-ma under one umbrella for the benefit of the Alumni and the University, and that is how the Association was formed.
One of the important tasks that we set out for ourselves is to significantly increase the Association membership. Through immediate registration on release of graduation list , We hope we will be successful in achieving this through our robust ICT Unit .
However, I trust we will utilize digital communication as a means for communication among our members. Thus we solicit for the support of all members of the University community in our quest to offer ourselves for selfless service for the development of the University.
We have many initiatives planned for the coming years and many projects in the pipeline to increase member benefits and interaction, students welfare and our reach and impact as thought leaders. Therefore, we also take this opportunity to call upon our membership and all alumni of the University to partner with us and lend us your co-operation and assistance to deliver on this challenge and make this vision a reality.
I appreciate the efforts of the University Management lead by the Architect of Modern FUDMA Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi whom in his capacity as the Leader of the University bring fourth developments beyond measure to the University, while personally commending his efforts, we as ALUMNI appreciate his doggedness in ensuring the University have new faculties with standard buildings on ground to accommodate intending Students.
While the University Main Campus is now having a face lift , with construction of walkways, repairs and maintenance of Senate Building, Auditorium , conserving the University through planting of trees and flowers, I am optimistic in the coming years , Prof. Bichi efforts will improve the ranking of the University, thus putting us first among others.
Finally, let me conclude by thanking all of you for your support and we look forward to the continued support and active involvement of the entire membership to carry out our activities in the coming year.
