Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello has said the First Lady of Nigeria, Dr Aisha Buhari has been giving hope to women and children in the society even before the administration of president Muhammadu Buhari, stating that he was not surprised about the story contained in the book “Aisha Buhari Being Different” which was presented earlier on Thursday morning in Abuja.
The Governor who attended the book presentation event with his wife , Her Excellency Rashida Bello disclosed to newsmen that Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has greatly improved the lives of women and children across the country in her capacity as the First Lady through her pet project “The Future Assured” .
The Governor said apart from catering for victims of insurgency in the North East and addresses youth education and empowerment, Future Assured empowered farmers and women in Kogi state in September 2020, to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic noting that the same intervention was carried out across all states in the country.
The Governor wished Dr Aisha Buhari well while congratulating her on the production and presentation of the book.
