COVID 19 VACCINE ARRIVES LOKOJA, KOGI STATE: No Compulsion, Is Optional, Bello Tells Kogites.

The position of the Kogi State Government on the administration of COVID 19 vaccines immunization in the state stands still, NO COMPULSION, BUT OPTIONAL.

Addressing a section of the state at an official function in Lokoja sometime last week, the state governor reiterated that he has not asked the people not to take the immunization but anyone taking it should open his eyes.

The State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Saka Haruna reaffirm this position of the state government on Monday, in Lokoja.

Reacting to the position of the state govt, the Executive Chairman of Lokoja local govt. Hon Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed stated that so long the govt position remains as it is, the Lokoja local government area must not be an exception.

The immunization exercise is to commence this week after 2 weeks of its commencement nationwide. The vaccines were delayed in arriving in the state due to works being carried out on storage facilities destroyed last October by the End SARS protesters.

With this development, Kogi state governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello has assured the people of the state that as long as his Government is prepared to protect the citizens, his govt cannot allow the people of Kogi State to be made the guinea pigs of the multinational corporations.
